Two known therapies could be effective as adjuvants in the critical patient infected by COVID-19

In this document, we review two adjuvant therapies that are simple to apply, without deleterious effects and with a low cost that could be useful for the treatment of severe acute coronavirus infection associated with acute respiratory syndrome (SARS-CoV-2). Vitamin C, a potent antioxidant, has become a relevant therapy due to its potential benefits when administered intravenously. The potential effect of vitamin C in reducing inflammation in the lungs could play a key role in lung injury caused by coronavirus infection. Another possible effective therapy is ozone. Despite the controversy that has always accompanied it, it has been widely studied and used for many years and its effectiveness has been demonstrated in multiple studies. But nevertheless, our objective is not to make an exhaustive review of these therapies but to spread their beneficial effects.
